REPRODUCTION

Blessed are the broodmares...

THE BREEDING PROCESS EXPLAINED

Getting and keeping mares in foal can be difficult. It requires dedication, timing and usually the co-ordination of several groups of people. For example mare owner, stallion owner, collection centre, vet for the mare and couriers.
If you're confused or not sure where to start, or talking doses, straws and follicles is a bit confusing- get in touch! No question is silly.

DO I NEED TO MONITOR MY MARE'S PREGNANCY?

Historically, mare's got a 45 day scan and then were left in the paddock until they perhaps did not look "big enough" to be in foal. Regular monitoring with high quality ultrasound gives peace of mind that your mare and her pregnancy are both healthy. Both foetal and placental health can be checked and treatments administered if required. It's a lot less expensive financially and emotionally than losing a foal.

ON SITE FACILITIES

We have purpose built reproduction facilities at the property, to accommodate mares and foals throughout the breeeding season.
